ARTSKC has curated 12 original paintings by Daniel Lopez Herrerias through the Now Showing Program. The exhibit will be hosted at The Skyline Collection Gallery at 1111 MAIN.
The Now Showing program partners local visual artists and businesses by providing opportunities for local businesses to transform their conference rooms, lobbies and office spaces into revolving galleries.

“Queriendo Estar Quieto,” or “Wanting to Be Still,” marks the debut solo exhibition of Daniel Lopez Herrerias (1987–present). This exclusive, one-night-only presentation showcases over 20 original oil paintings from the artist’s private collection, alongside pieces generously loaned from previous commissions.
“Wanting to Be Still” encapsulates a profound sentiment that permeates each painting in this collection. According to Daniel, it underscores “the significance of self-reflection in the midst of our bustling world. Discovering solace within the confines of a studio, armed with a paintbrush, canvas, and oil paints, has allowed me to tap into a seldom-revealed facet of myself—a realm of profound introspection. Through this, I create artworks that are, essentially, pieces of my inner world brought to life on canvas. Thus, I pose the question: Can you find stillness within your thoughts? What revelations may it bring?”
The artworks in this exhibition are thoughtfully organized by themes and compositional affinities. As you journey through the show, we invite you to immerse yourself in the interplay of light and shadow, the vibrant spectrum of hues, and the depth of emotions evoked by each painting.
